No Flash In The Apt
Flash In The Apt. Got a new roomate for a little bit. Say Hi Nix
Ever since me and my brother were young and influenced by animation and the like. We've been drawing since as long as we can remember. Granted I haven't done much drawing as of late, but I was more into the Anime ways. Since then my brother has been practicing the art of Graffiti ever since we were living in the bronx in '94. It's '10 now. He tried to make a clothing company with his friends before which later failed. I don't know the story behind it but it's long and gone now. He realized that he can make it happen on his own, and quietly produced the first press t-shirts. Now he's coming out with two more designs to be printed and ready by this summer. Check out his clothes at his website and add him on facebook. Search: nunajee wear. He finally got the First Press shirts to work online with paypal so get those while they still exist. The style is all original and designed with what life has brought to him. And all we're getting back are these t-shirts . Keep doing your thing big bro, That means I get free shirts right?.. a discount maybe? .. no?
Being stuck in my apartment for an extended period of time is starting to get to me. And even if I did go out, I sometimes wonder why i'm even there. It just seems like I only exist to work then go home recuperate and work again. Even though i'm doing my part for my country, I still feel like i'm barely contributing to the greater good of our future. That's why I think I'm trying my best a lot of the times during work. It is the main contribution of my existence. I started to wonder what other people live for. The ones with kids, are trying their best to give them a descent living. Those who have a passion try their best to go after their dreams. I have some hobbies here and there, but the most I contribute to are my photos, and I know they aren't the best. I dabble in music but I don't showcase it. It's not worth showcasing. I fully realized that I'm still not in school, and I see all these aspiring students studying for their career. Most of my friends are at their final semester now and actually will or are currently in their major step into living in their career. I'm currently living in my career now, but I don't feel satisfied with my contribution. I feel like life is moving slowly for myself. I suppose this is my resolve now that I know how useless I currently am. And I hate being useless.
I want to live for something. I want to be a teacher. I want to own a cafe. I want to be a positive influence to our youth so that they can help direct our progress to the right direction. I also want to continue serving my country. But to do those things I'd have to stop being a lazy ass, stop wasting time, and make my existence worth something. So this blog starts my foot forward, with hopes to regain my momentum towards the dreams I have set out for. With the contribution I would be happy with. I've been cooped in my apartment for way too long. And now it's starting to get to me. But it's always better late than never.
Yes I have a headphone fetish. I don't mind saying it. I love headphones. It feels good to not hear anything but music. Likin it when they're uhh.. you know.. A SLAPPIN DA BAESS MON. It was a sad day during the car break in fiasco, my clothes got stolen... What made it worse was that my ltd red bongos were stolen as well. That ruined my day, but luckily when I went to Urban Outfitters in THE KING OF PRUSSIA mall. I found a awesome Plaid Bongo for a easy $30 (MSRP $80). SAY WHUUT. Right now my red bongos are probably being listened to unrightful owners I wish it the best of luck on it's journey outside of my collection. I don't mean for it to take it's place but it certainly is welcome to my collection. Awesome audio quality. Great Bass. Looks Great. Listens Great.
A Little Side Action
Utilizing the new Sony Walkman I got
Viewtiful. Go to your nearest Urban Outfitters, run to the corner to find it on sale. That's what I did.
Side Note: I realized it was used. Luckily I tried it out at the mall and the Right Side was fudged D: I went back and swapped it out with a working one luckily. Good thing Royce had to go use the bathroom. So... make sure you check on that incase it's used. High Five.
I was invited to go out tonight at Rutgers for the festival but meh, I was enjoying laying in my dirt today. Me not being in the mood to party probably means i'll end up being a wall flower for the most part anyway. I didn't wanna take my chances in making the party lame and having a lame time myself. So Royce and I just hung out. He was kind enough to visit me, so we decided to go to THE BIGGEST MALL ON THE EAST COAST. THE KING OF PRUSSIA MALL. It needed a grand introduction for a mall so huge. We couldn't walk through the whole mall it was so big, only two floors, but it seriously took up a lot of real estate. Maybe we were just lazy... but I'm sure we could've walked around the whole mall if we were dedicated enough, but there would have been no gain in it at all. Favorite Stores: Urban Outfitters & SonyStyle. (of course) Managed to kill the rest of the film left in my fisheye lens. That is Roll #10. Check them out if you want. There's a little tour of my tiny apartment and some other pictures. I'll post some thumbnails below but feel free to go through the whole Album.
Just Bought Super Street Fighter Four. Which is AWESOME. Feels more like a arcade game now and less like a heavily plotted fighting game. No more animations when picking out a character for arcade mode. Just a narrated slideshow, which isn't bad, it's just more focused on the fighting... which makes sense. New characters are fun. Juri and Hakan, are proving to be new favorites. Returning fighters like Ibuki made me really happy. She is the reason why I bought SSF4 in the first place. You also have a option for two Ultra Combos now but you all should know that by now And the price was $40. I'll still keep my original SF4 since they have their differences. It's worth the buy I think. Fight me on PS3 PockyNerd.
That's most of what happenned to me today. Hope you guys enjoy your weekend, Mine was very nice, and laid back. Just how I like it. Although, it's been a while since i've last drank with good friends. It might be time to do that soon
I haven't read manga or bought any for a while, but since I had a reason to go to Barnes N Nobles, I thought I'd check up on the manga i've been keeping up with. I saw that they had a new Yotsuba! So I purchased it to add to my collection :3 I've always loved how care free this kid is. It's a really laid back manga, and she's just cute to read. Makes you wish when you have kids they turn out like her. This manga seperates itself from the rest because there's no drama, no need to save the world. It's as if you were reading a illustration about the memories you had with your neice that you never had, or the daughter you never had. or maybe you have had but now she's grown up or something of the like. Either way you'll find some kind of connection to her. Promise. lol. I've caught myself laughing out loud, and screaming AWWWWW a lot..... . . Yeah i'm a softie. Go to hell. It's by Kiyohiko Azuma the same person who made Azumanga Daioh. Which was about life as a Highschool Student. He really captures the things that made us laugh back in the day. It's easy to connect to all the characters because it's all probably happenned to us. The 8th volume came out already so I suggest starting from the top and catching up to me. my little sister and I love this manga. It's also the manga i'm holding on my profile picture and the 8th vol is the one i'm holding during my hang out with Raul. high five. I took some pictures of the pages to see what you'll be getting yourself into :3
DON'T FORGET TO READ RIGHT FROM LEFT. It's a manga afterall not a comic. I hope this doesn't confuse all of you. Click to to actually read it as well. Oh! and a quick catch up so you can understand what's going on. They're visiting their neighbor who's in Highschool, which is having a Cultural Festival. They pass by a haunted classroom and she decides to go check it out. Enjoy!
Had to make a Data Disc of MP3s for a friend in the boat the other day. He's losing his mind since he hasn't heard new music for 6 months. Going through my playlist, I found one of my old favorite bands. Hot Hot Heat. I use to love this band so much, and their music is still awesome to this day. During the time I listened to it, I was in love with this one girl, and I mixed my feelings in with the song like some kind of delicious little fruity cocktail.. or strawberry milk since I was underage then. That love has long gone and now I'm left with the song. And it feels a little off now that this song is playing again. Granted it's still an awesome song, their whole album is awesome. But now it just looks like i'm looking at an empty glass thinking, "oh that was a great drink" whereas before, I was actually drinking it basking in it's joy. Singing along with the song feels like i'm singing to my past now, with no more feelings to carry over. It's not like it's making me sad or anything, and I can still listen to this song to this day and embrace what's happening in the present easy. It's just something you notice as time passes by. Now pass me the whiskey.
Get Hot Hot Heats Albums btw, their music is AWeESome! I can sing both of their albums verbatim. Elevator and Make Up The Breakdown. Happines LTD was nothing to write home about :
I took a little break after all those posts for Xanga Fashion Sense I thought it was necessary. Then I started missing Xanga again, so I decided I'd post this one before I knock out.
Chemex - Coffee Maker
No electricity needed Kills the vampire lights off of my current coffee maker. Plus makes delicious coffee from what I've been reading. It helps the earth too, by using no electricity doing my part for the world. Supposedly haha. It's on my want list, They still sell it on Amazon too, AND this thing has been around since the 1940's. Once I get one I'll tell you how it goes. I still need a couch. lol. I think i'm gonna get that Canon Scanner soon as well . I'm letting my co-worker stay at my place for a month, guess how much i'm letting him stay for. Let me rephrase that question. Guess where I got the funding to get my new scanner? and then some. w00t.
I've also have noticed that my Electricity bill went up by 50% a whopping $60 from it's original $40 (I KNOW SO MUCH RIGHT?!) It's not really a big deal, honestly but I do leave a lot of my electronics on. So I was considering getting a Electricity Monitor to help see how bad my electronics are when it comes to taking my money away from me, so I did a little research. All them looked boring except for two. The DIY Watson and the Energy Orb. Two problems though, one for each. DIY Watson isn't available for US yet And if I really wanted to, I'd have to get a electrician, plus spend $250 on buying it. Ouch. Now the Energy Orb.... I don't know how to get it. I kind of do, it's sold at this website, but I checked to see if the coverage was available for my area but that part seems to be down, so I guess I have to call them sometime. It's less cooler looking than the Watson though, but oh well it's also $100 cheaper. They both will do the job. Plus it will help mama nature and my pockets in the long run. Add that to my want list as well.
I can smell my inner hippie escaping through my pores. Here's to you belated Earth Day.
