  • Goin Orange Day 4

Geez its' my 4th Day eating carrots.

    Day 1: 3
    Day 2: 8
    Day 3: 3
    Day 4: 4

    Total: 18.

Not bad I suppose. I was kinda scared to eat the carrots again fearing it would burn my tongue. It didn't :) I took breaks in between and drank water. I think that did the trick. I got scared shitless today posting this blog on facebook.

Scariest Crap I ever read. I don't wanna develop all of the above D: Just for the sake of turning orange. But the end kinda gave me some heart. And a pair of balls. Sadly I got my nuts from a hippie so I don't really do much.

Anyway I don't see much change yet. Maybe it's because I'm eating not so many carrots. I should probably kick it up a notch. But if nothing happens on the 7th day. I'm gonna call it quits. I'm goin on a cruise and I don't wanna go there lookin all orange :P high five! I would redo this project though incase it fails. One week just isn't long enough. I'll keep you guys posted.

  • Goin Orange Day 3. Weird.

    Currently: typing @ a 24 hour laundromat @ 0500am

Just got off of work and my work clothes are all dirty. I'm also running out of underwear so this 24 hour joint is pretty handy. I'm liking it. I just feel like someone can just walk by me and totally mug the shit out of me. Taking all my clothes and my beloveds with them. But since your reading this it must mean i'm ok... for the most part.

... well Day 3 of the Go for Orange Proj freaked me out.

I finished eating my 3rd carrot this morning and my tongue suddenly went en fuego. I had a burning sensation like... I just ate a jalapeno. But it covered all of my tongue D:
I figured it could've been the pesticides? or something. So I gargled Listerine... But the burning sensation just got worse hahaha. go figure. It sort of went away after using the mouthwash though. hmmm. I know it was the carrots because I didn't eat anything else yet. So I kind of took it down a notch. I'll start again tomorrow see how it pans out.
I looked it up over the net and it says that not chewing enough especially with raw carrots could burn up your tongue do to the lack of salavating or something. So i guess i'll be chewing a shit ton more and hope it works out alright.

Some friends are telling me i could possibly be developing a toxicity over Carrots.... :'(

I hope their wrong. I need my crunchy earthy goodness.

    Still Not Orange Yet :

  • Minolta Maxxum 7000 Entry Shots. And why more people are buying DSLRs.

I got this bad boy off a long ass drive with JA. 2 for $25! how can you say no to that?! The drive was pretty hardcorse since we kept on getting stuck in traffic. And when I wanted to play with the shutter release it wasn't doing crap D: I got worried. But luckily all it needed were new batteries; after getting these pics developed, I think it was worth it happy It feels like I took these pics in the 70's. It's pretty sweet.

After taking these pics though and using a SLR I can understand why back then not a lot of people would dive into the SLR world. Playing with all the buttons and understanding the little screen let alone going through the expensive rolls of film. Might have not been fun at all.

In todays world of DSLR i've noticed a lot of people have been starting to get them. But when I see how they work with the DSLRs, they end up just using the Auto feature. which I think ruins the fun of using SLRs. Might as well use a point and shoot. Hesus. But I guess I can only hope that their love for cameras can eventually develop into true feelings. More on this later. It'll be a long bantar for an entry photo blog.

Here are my favorite entry photos! take enjoy!

  • Goin Orange. Day 2

Hey guys. Day 2 Just finished. And this is how I spent my time with carrots.

    • This morning I woke up. Had to stop by work so I ate 2 Carrots on the go. Double fisting my carrots during the drive B)

    • Before me and my bro were gonna head out to explore good eats of Philadelphia, I had 3 Carrots while we were planning and lounging.

    • Just finished Dinner with my bro and then finished my meal off with 3 more Carrots.

That's a total of 8 Carrots guys. w00t w00t. I can see progress coming now. Just finished my first bag and my second bag is waiting for me in the morning. I should be orange in no time? It may just be me and my wishful thinking? But I guess i'm feeling like i'm turning orange. This may be a little TMI but my stool was hittin a little on the orange side. I call that progress.

photo: Coincidentally I had Orange Soda to compare my skin and how it's not  so orange yet.

  • Goin Orange. Day 1

Carrots are scrumptious and I hear if you eat enough. you are going to turn orange.....

..... well CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I am now currently eating at least 3 Carrots a day. Today being my first. I'm feeling good so far, i'm trying to turn orange by the time I get to visiting NJ this weekend. I'll keep you guys posted Daily. So at least i'll be able to construct a before and after and maybe a lil gif of sorts. Wish me luck!

    DAY 1

  • Nerdism. Changing Icons.

While everyones getting ready for the world cup, I'm being a hermit at home on my off day tinkering with my computer.

I was flipping through Life Hacker when I crossed a article about 10 useful ways to use thumb drives. The first on the list was the one I was most interested in. How to change your icon whenever you pop in a flash/thumb drive.

I have my Compact Flash Cards and SD Cards and It's a little troublesome when I have to play guess which drive the Card is located in. So I gave it a go.

I even changed my hard drive icons too. XD click to enlarge

I was successful :D It's pretty fly now. Now I never have to second guess myself with which card is which. Either for my A300 or my TX5. w00t.

    Side Notes:
•When using converticon you wanna make sure you choose the 512x512 icons so when you zoom in with your file viewer it doesn't get pixelated.
•And make sure the picture your converting is as big as 512x512 or else it will be pixelated as well.
•When you make your autorun.inf file make sure you type in [autorun] above icon=autorun.ico as shown from the picture above.
•Final note. If your in converticon and your trying to choose the picture you want to convert into an icon but can't find it. You have to select the drop down and select image.

That's about it... hope this makes life easier for you if you decide to try this out. Any questions feel free to ask.

  • Robbies Year Books

    taken from kirksample.com

Finally received my issue of Shutterbug Magazine. I subscribed to it last month but they never mailed it to me. I started to get worried thinking the girl that sold it to me at my front door swindled me, but I guess it was just back ordered since I got my June July and August issues at the same time... I also subscribed to Maxim so I wouldn't feel so nerdy. Haven't really read through it though XÞ

Flipping through my first issue of shutterbug magazine, I saw a ad for Picture Books by AdoramaPix.com . It looked pretty flytastic. It's pretty expensive to make though, but the build of the book is like the ones you see being sold in any bookstore. It reminded me of year books. Minus having to sift through pages of pages of stuff that didn't really matter. i.e. the Basketball Team, Honor Students, ... and the Anime Club whatevah Everything in the book is mine, and it's a collection of my memories. Plus It would make for a great portfolio as well... as long as the pictures don't suck : Þ In the end it's really a book of things I would never want to forget, and something as important as that shouldn't be handled so lightly.

So i'm pretty set on doing this. I thought of when would be a good time to do it/When I could afford it. First thing that popped in my head was Tax Return. So the sooner I file em. The sooner I make my yearbook. happy

Review of someone who printed it through Adoramapix. Makes me kinda excited XD

  • I ate. The whole day.

Just got back from my off days from the good ol' NJ. I made plans with a friend of mine to go eat at a place called Shake Shack located in NY. He posted a pic on facebook and I asked him to bring me there next time I visited. Which He Did. My good friend Royce and his uncle came along too. Oh and along the way we picked up his mom because she was just about to get off of work. The more the merrier right? :D

There are 2 of these joints in NY this was the indoor one, the other one, outdoor. Less of a wait than the other Shake Shack. BUT even though it's faster, it kinda ruins the atmosphere. Plus it gets pretty cramped in there. So i guess It really depends on your purpose of shake shacking.

The good news is even though their style of business is different. The food remains the same :3

Blambaowww son. Blam. Bao. One of the Best Burgers I ever put in my mouth. Well worth the $8. The highly coveted Shack Stack. Cheese and Shroom burger Topped with LT and a secret Shack Sauce. I think the fried mushroom with enclosed extra surprise cheese was what put me in a state of orgasm. I don't even really like mushrooms much either. But in this case. Worth It. They didn't skimp on my milk shake and fries either. The shakes were hand spun and although small, it was very filling. The fries weren't anything to write home about but they're just fries. with a choice of cheese whiz. They were good. But nothing special.

I kinda regret not taking my time to savor my meal but then again there wasn't really much time available for me to remind myself that anyway. I my me mine.

Shortly after we get a call telling us to meet up with the the rest of Royce's family. (Royce's family was over from michigan and we didn't wanna go shopping with them. lol)

The rest of Royce's family wanted to go eat. @____@ at a place called Saigon Grill. We literally just finished eating a great meal and now we're going to another spot with just as equal awesomeness. I wasn't sure if our stomach was ready for it, but it's not like we had a choice.

    Pork Chops

A valley of food Just thrown in front of my face.

    Our Table.

In filipino culture. It is considered disgraceful or impolite to not eat the food that someone offers you. This was also being reminded to me while I sat there with a full stomach. But I manned up. Had a couple more bites. Enjoyed my tid bits. Really good Thai food though. If my stomach wasn't so full I'm sure I would've appreciated it more.

After all that eating you think we'd be done.

But since we already gone this far we went to Mitsuwa to get some Mocchi Ice Cream and what other candy we wanted to indulge in. -sigh- took a nice stroll around Edge Water and called it a day.

I was already full from Shake Shack -___- now my table top belly is going to be able to fit a table for two.

  • Blogging Just Got More Tiny

Lately i've been dragging my feet in developing pics from my DSLR, kinda makes me sad :( but I guess it's because I haven't had the down time sit down and just develop pics. I'm either workin real long or during my off days i'd be out. I only use my desktop at home to Lightroom all my RAW files, only because I think it's too much of a chore for my laptops to deal with. It could even be the reason for my lack of blogging ( ' .')~

And so to you, I present my solution.

My Sony Vaio P530H and Sony Cybershot DSC-TX5.

This cute tiny bundle of joy will be my mobile blogging from now ons.
I've had my Laptop for a while now but it was loaded with crapware and vista from it's original purchase. I finally reformatted it into Windows 7 and this little baby is trottin like it owns the place. Now that the laptop doesn't seem like such a hassle, i'll probably do my little quick trip blogs on this get up. Better to capture the times than to not have em at all right?

now time for bed. I gotta wake up at 0530am so I can stand watch for the next 12 hours and then drive to NJ to hang out with good friends... I think? That decision is still pending.
